Note: Huanbo Sun has transitioned from the institute (alumni).
- I am now working as a postdoctoral associate at Yale University (email: huanbo.sun@yale.edu, huanbo.sunyale@gmail.com), and will establish my own research lab somewhere starting from 01st Sep. 2024. Please follow my webpage for more details: https://huanbo-sun.github.io/HapticSensingLab/index.html.
- I am interested in designing intelligent robots with softer bodies and a better sense of touch to benefit our daily lives. Combining my interdisciplinary knowledge in designing actuators, sensors, and machine-learning algorithms, I would like to create soft biomimetic, system-level, and AI-driven devices (especially actuators and haptic sensors on different scales) considering both hardware and software aspects. Moreover, I would like to develop general theories that can bridge hardware and software parts and help to evaluate all intermediate implementation steps from a macro perspective.
- Tech transfer! We are looking for possible ways to commercialize our designed haptic sensors. If interested, please feel free to contact me.
- Since 2017 I have been a Ph.D. student supervised by Dr. Georg Martius. My research interests fall in the haptic systems, robotic systems, and medical imaging systems. Currently, I am working on haptic projects aiming at designing machine-learning-driven full-body sensing systems for robots.
